The Irish Pear

My favorite Fall things: Cozy sweaters, cute scarves, and Fall-inspired cocktails like The Irish Pear.

I created this cocktail for The Whistler Irish Whiskey. It’s made with their Double Oaked Irish Whiskey, fresh pear, Velvet Falernum, lemon, and fresh rosemary.

The pear flavor is subtle but works so well with the whiskey, spices from the Falernum, and aroma from the fresh rosemary sprig (I highly recommend keeping the sprig in as you’re drinking it, it’s so good).

Makes 1 serving

Ingredients:

- 2 oz The Whistler Double Oaked Irish Whiskey

- 3/4 oz Velvet Falernum

- 1/2 oz lemon juice

- 1/2 pear, cut into small cubes

- 1 inch rosemary sprig + 1 sprig for garnish

Directions:

1. Combine all ingredients, except rosemary, into a cocktail shaker. Muddle well

2. Add rosemary, then muddle gently

3. Fill with ice and shake

4. Double strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice

5. Garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary
