Irish Orchard

(recipe developed for J.J. Corry Irish Whiskey)

J.J. Corry is Ireland's first modern Whiskey Bonder.

The practice is part of Ireland’s Whiskey history and is making a comeback thanks to Louise McGuane (@louisemcguane ). She revived it back in 2015 when she founded a whiskey company and created J.J. Corry - an award-winning line of bonded Irish Whiskeys.

Their latest blend, The Hanson, is a blend of three casks of Irish Grain Whiskey. It’s bright and fruit-forward with oak, warm vanilla, spice, and toasted notes.

I like how easy it is to drink and how smooth and complex it is. I picked up on the vanilla and sweet fruit notes right away and thought it would be perfect in this drink I’m calling the The Irish Orchard.

It’s made with The Hanson Irish Whiskey with fresh apple, fresh ginger, Apple liqueur, lemon, and simple syrup. It fruity, bright, and refreshing with a subtle kick from the fresh ginger. I’m a fan!
