Bicycle Thief

I found this recipe is Sasha Petraske’s book Regarding Cocktails.

When I saw Campari, I knew I had to make it. It also gave me the chance to try a low-ABV version with some of Lyre’s Italian Orange Non-Alcoholic Spirit (definitely worth keeping a bottle around if you’re a Campari lover. It’s a great non-alcoholic substitute for Campari that’s less bitter, but still has the essence of Campari).

If you want to take the alcohol content all the way down, just sub the gin for your favorite gin alternative (like Ritual Gin Alternative or Monday Zero Alcohol Gin).

Makes 1 serving

Ingredients:

- 1 oz Gin or gin alternative

- 1 oz Campari or Lyre’s Italian Orange NA spirit

- 1.5 oz fresh grapefruit juice

- 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice

- 0.5 oz simple syrup

- Club soda, for topping off

- A thin orange slice, for garnish

Directions:

Combine the gin, Campari, grapefruit juice, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a highball glass filled with a long Collins cube or 3 medium ice cubes. Top off with soda and garnish with the orange slice.

Cheers!
