Mint Julep

This official drink of The Kentucky Derby is good enough to have any time.

Ingredients:

• 2 oz bourbon

• 1/2 oz simple syrup

• 8 mint leaves

• Mint sprig for garnish

Directions:

1) Gently muddle simple syrup and mint leaves in a Julep glass or rocks glass

2) Add bourbon

3) Top with crushed ice and stir to chill

4) Top with more crushed ice (enough to make a nice dome at the top)

5) Garnish with a fresh mint sprig
