Apple Pie Spiked Cider

This one’s for my apple pie lovers.

This is a remake of an Apple Pie Moonshine cocktail I made last Fall. I didn’t have any more of the moonshine, so I added apple pie spices to some apple cider and replaced the moonshine with vodka.

Whiskey works well here too, but with vodka all of that apple pie goodness really comes through. Warning, the vodka also makes this VERY easy to drink so sip this one SLOWLY haha.

Makes 1 serving

Ingredients:

- 2 oz Vodka

- 3 oz Apple Pie Cider*

- 3/4 oz lemon juice

- 1/2 oz simple syrup

- Cinnamon stick for garnish

Directions:

1. Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker.

2. Add ice and shake until well chilled.

3. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.

4. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

*Apple Pie Cider

- 2 cups Apple Cider

- 2 Cinnamon sticks

- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

- 1/4 tsp ground allspice

Add all ingredients into a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Turn off the heat and let spices steep in the cider for 30 mins. Fine strain into a heat proof container and let cool before use.

Booze-free option: Leave out the vodka/whiskey or use 2 oz of @drinkspiritless Kentucky 74.

Cheers and enjoy!
